Yoga and Pilates complement each other very well. While Yoga focuses more on flexibility and broad muscle groups, Pilates focuses on muscle toning, body control and core strength.
We are happy to offer Mat Pilates at Amana which will benefit individuals by improving posture, helping develop better coordination, balance and increased lung capacity. Pilates will also improve concentration and focus, increase body awareness, and provide stress management and injury prevention.
Mat work is a great choice for all levels of Pilates practitioners. You will start out with basic exercises and over time build in exercises with more difficulty. Just like Yoga, we offer modifications to decrease or increase the level of challenge.
