Yoga has been a part of my life since I can remember, even my childhood dog was named Yogi! I started practicing yoga after picking up the Sivananda Guide to Yoga back in the early 80’s. Yoga always made me feel good and I always felt special doing it.
Yoga has given me a sense of who I am and what I am here for. My confidence in life is directly linked to my yoga practice and my yoga lifestyle. I try to do yoga everyday.
I first became interested in teaching Yoga after my wife Kristine took her teacher training in early 2000’s. I knew it was for me and I embarked on a journey of yoga, meditation and Ayurveda with the Chopra Center in Carlsbad California. I also trained with Ashtanga Teacher Jody Manley in Halifax Nova Scotia and have taken many workshops and training with various teachers. I just completed a 300 hour Vedic Astrology Course with David Frawley out of New Mexico and I am eager to share that knowldege with my clients.
I also help teach our yoga teacher training program with Kristine Ward.
I love watching students and clients transform into greater human beings when they practice yoga. For me , that is what its all about…watching people grown and learn to love yoga.
My preferred Yoga practice is Ashtanga Yoga and like to mix it up with restorative and yin.
My favorite yoga pose is Head stand…. nothing else comes close.
I am inspired by the teachers of yoga. Most have families and busy lives but they take the time to come and help others find and do yoga. That is what inspires me.
I have come to embrace that life can be difficult and that when joy and happiness comes into our life that we should embrace that moment and celebrate it!
